i average bout 600km out of a tank of fuel with mainly city driving and driving reasonably to hard.. however long distance trips i get bout 750 out of a tank of fuel, my mom drove the car and she gets bout 800 but on her way to sydney she got 900 km out of a tank of fuel.
it will vary on how you drive and when you fill up to. it may give you a differnt reading if you fill the tank when it has only half a tank of fuel in it. I usually look at the fuel usage one.Originally Posted by Magna_Evolution

If i was you Erik i'd get the car checked out for any worn items in the engine bay, it appears the owner didn't really care about the car and who knows what they haven't had fixed?
Could be causing your poor fuel economy.

it read 350km before i reset itt/filled up, i will be getting the car check out when my major service is due when it hits 105000km so after then gets done, i hope my fuel ecnomy changes, i'm gona go for a mini cruiose with my car 2day and see if it makes a differance if not i'm just going have to wait til my service is due tell mitz about and see if they can fix it.
That's really poor economy mate, if i was you i'd get the mechanic to change ALL fluids, ALL filters, maybe even all the gaskets (prob done as its a major service anyway)? may cost you an extra 1-200 bucks but will have your car running like new.

its just the trip comp averaging ur driving. if u reset it and choose instant fuel and drive around town will be something like 18l/100 on the freeway and it will drop to about 7l/100. go for a drive on the freeway it will change.i totaly give up with my trip computer i reset this morning and says i'll get 410

?? If I drive my car like a grandpa highway driving I'll get 7.8L/100. 72 litre tank, that's 920 kms. Why is it so hard to believe?
